post

I found the writing center to be really helpful on my english essay. They helped me organize my ideas, and helped me write it to the most effective way possible. The girl I had was nice and she was really positive about my writing. She helped me develop some things around my idea, and get an essay that was worth being turned in as a  rough draft. Before my ideas were rough and edgy. Not very developed or thought through. But the writing center helped me to a draft that was worth turning in and reading.

poem

Love is less compared to a heart than a mountain
Where a heart takes two
it soon ends
but a mountain follows in a true path
two do not separate
all stay together

There are flat easy times
and hard ones as you go
theres arguments on which path
and conclusions in the end

There are cold bitter times
the longer you go
but you must keep going
to see whats at the top
to see and believe that this may work

and through all that time it comes to this
you reach it now and see
the land that lay beneath
and then you go
on the hard yet easy fall

Where things become more beautiful
and easy on the way
there are some bitter days
yet liter ones come
but soon you reach the flat valley below
Not to split up
but to keep going on your journey
to find the next

The Fault in Our Stars- 30

Blog prompt

Pretend that you were sent to the future or the past. Describe what it is like there. What things happen. Whats  different? A good way to do this would to write it as a journal entry.

I woke up to a pounding in my head. I felt a rush of tired ness go over me. What happened? Only a second ago I was in Dr. Vicks office working on that device of his. I sat up. The dirt road that I lay on stretched over the mountain top. Down below lay a giant log bridge and a small town. Where am I?
"It more like when." A voice coming from behind spoke. The man with the voice was one of my colleges. A helper on the TTP. Time traveling project. "The experiment it worked I believe. Were not in the lab any more." If it did work than were were we?

Later that day

It took about an hour to get down to the bridge, and figure out where we were. Then once we got up to the city it was obvious. We were in the renaissance. The buildings of the town weren't as high as the ones we were used to. Most of them were mad of stone or wood. The windows were made of a more wavy glass due to it being hand made. When you first walked it to the town small shops and booths lined the street. Towards the back lay the houses. In the center of the town was a big rock fountain. Gard's walked up and down the street. Some were stationed at random arias. Women walked around with strait backs in mutable styles of cossets. Children ran around playing with wooden swards and other items.

Nursery rhymes

The other day my fried Eleanor and I were doing what we usually do sometimes, witch is to sit down and watch youtube videos on one of our favorite comedians Tim Hawkings. He is just this really really funny guy. And we watch these episode on nursery rhymes. As I was watching it the thought went through my mind this is so funny but so true. Heres how it goes.

Tim Hawkins: "When you think about it music is weird. music is weird from the time were born. Our parents would sing these crazy lullabies to these kids. Have you listened to some of the words in these songs. No wonder were out of our minds........ I mean have you herd rock a by bay. Listen to the words in it. Rock a by baby in the tree tops...... Does that not weird anybody out here. The babies in a TREE! It dosen't bother you. When the wind blows the cradle will rock. When the bow breaks the cradle will fall..... AND DOWN WILL COME BABY CRADLE AND ALL. We knead to cll child protective services on these parents. I mean the babies in a TREE! Afford a baby sitter don't put them in a tree. Remember hush little baby did you ever listen to that. Hush little baby don't say a word mamas gonna by you a mocking bird........ Wait am I hearing you correctly if i shut up i get a bird.... Go on. And if that bird ' sing mamas gonna by you a diamond ring... wait let me get this one. If I kill the bird I get bling bling.. And if that ring turns brass mamas gonna by you a looking glass. and if that looking glass gets broke mamas gonna by you a billy goat.... so were in Kentucky now. when does the father step in, hush little baby don't you see mamas gonna knead a little therapy. I mean we had some of the dumbest songs growing up like what did they mean. Jimmy cracked corn and I don't care.Jimmy cracked corn and I don't care.Jimmy cracked corn and I don't care. Well if you don't care why did you write the stupid song. I don't think Jimmy corn is to happy about his cracking corn job. Now I bet if Jimmy was on crack then you would care allot about him then. like old Mick Donald. Old Mick Donald had a far e i e i o. Well old Mick Donald was dislecsic o i e i e. Old Mick Donald had one of everything he had a cow, he had a horse he had a moos. Sounds like an under achiever to me. "

Class survival

If our class was really stuck on an island for days or weeks or months the beginning mite not have started so smoothly but then it would act out the same. In the beginning we may be more cyanotic, scared, worried it would be a lot of hubbub. However then once we all get our thoughts together and really realize the situation it mite play out how it was in class. We would pick a leader. Set down our mane priorities food, water, and shelter then split off into groups and get those done. Then we would probably complicate things over time. Like the  first nights shelter may be some hammocks. But maybe a weak or two into it we may be living in trees you never know. I think we would manage our supplies well, leadership, and organization. However we are defiantly going to be challenged with enough water for everyone and food.

free post poem

As seen upon the ghostly hollows
in the darkens of the silver moon
two times a years a go
And still today a runner goes
a man of the devils shadow
a wolf of the howling moon

Upon these nights when the moon is full
no stars shine in the sky
a forbidden darkness comes upon one
a wolf in disguise

This creature is one of darkness
he romes the woods on the forbidden night
and no control comes upon him
he only lives to fight

So beware all you strangers
to the darkness of the wood
for the wolf man hides
and the wolf man seeks
and the wolf man looks for food

only one forbidden bight
can cause the pain to
the curs running through his veins
is intertwined with you

As seen upon the ghostly hollows
in the darkens of the silver moon
two times a years a go
And still today a runner goes
a man of the devils shadow
a wolf of the howling moon

personal questions

What would it be like to live in a world where anything is posible?

Why do I like fiction so much?

What makes a good compelling fictional story?

reading log

Lately this weak, I have ben writing my short story instead of reading, so I'm not as far as I want to be in the book. Still so far in World War Z the people are on the hunt to find a cure, and survive. However I have achieved much on my short story. Ive ben focusing allot on the detail, and the mood hoping to make it a thrilling story.  Example here is the beginning.

It was said to be caused by the winters cill, that bites through the bone, on days of starless nights when a man breaks. It was one in witch however much madness, and kayos is caused, and the ones so dearly loved lie six feet under, the cold forgotten ground. A night that causes the tarting of madness, has days before just leading, and nights binging one closer and closer to there fall. The sights once happened, had never ben seen in such a small town such as ours, we are known as the peaceful, happy people, no worries, no fights, no nothing. Here your life is set up for you, who you ar, your work, social class, how you should act, all according to your stance in money, and gender. It docent mater how smart or dumb you are, how pretty or strong, your family is like so, and so it would only make sense for you to be like that. People just come to accept it here, we grow close, and seam to live the most happy lives. But every one is human, and even the most peaceful organized ones have a Demond in side. It was said to be on a night where there was no way to run from the bite of the frosts dogs, and one where mist covers the ground. No starry heavens were open then, and only the lone ghostly moon was the lantern for all. But such a ghostly seen can affect the mod of one that can change every thing. It is said that at that night, and the ones to fallow that when the old grandfather clock struck at 1, and you were awake listening to the sounds of the ghostly air, you would hear. Down in the misty hollow of the woods a thathump, thathumo, of a devils stead cross the road. And if you are as interested in the sound, the one so close to the sound of your heart beat, you'll go to the window. If you believe in what you hear, looking at the ghostly, mist covers land scape, you shall see, off in the distance behind the wooded trees, a field of grey. There in the distance with the squinting of your eyes, a shadowed phantom man will ride. The balkiest cape flows in the wind, and the pounding of his nightly stead, and a mask of pure balk can be seen. For only a second, you will see, the mad man ride on back, to the depths in witch he came, back from his work of the night.

short story reading

Truthfully I haven't liked many of the short stories we've read. I've found them rather boring, confusing, weird, or just all. However I have noticed some good things about them. While I don't like them, I can tell the amount of work, good quality, and thought put into them. In the story A&P I noticed the amount of imagery, and thought put into each character. While the story itself was boring, the writer put in much effort on each character. Each one was described in a manner in witch you could picture, and get every detail about the person. The author described them from there personality, to there looks, and all the way to the way they walk. Allot of effort was put into there looks. In the story a very old man with enormous wings, the author focused allot on the mood. The mood in that story was very affective, and rite off the bat it was a good setting.

Mary Clare

It's midnight and my mind is drawing a blank. A rush of tiredness comes over me as I enter my small courters. The sound of music still fills the down stairs, keeping a steady happy beat of restlessness. My feet are sore from the past six hours of lively dancing, music, and all just plane fun. Yet four straits nights of  parties has left me tired. My room felt cosy. The maids had left a small fire burning in the corner of the room. The soft pink bead was made perfectly, in an army style fashion.  I closed, and locked the door's, stuffing a sheet in the cracks, hoping to keep out the light and music. I got into the bead, and listened to the crackling of the fire.  A quick thought went over me in my next attack. I shook it away. "I am a lady," I said to my self. "I am to be polite and helpless." Yet I could not help to think that that is what I am suppose to be. For I am more than what meets the eye. I did my best to stop all thoughts, and just listen to the howling of the wind outside. I slowly drifted to sleep, with the thought on my mind, "what is my next move?" And as all this happen'd, I stared at the black cape, and clothing sitting in the door of my closet, as if a person was watching me in my last minuets before sleep.

This weak I started the book, The Blind Side. Witch so far it is very good. I believe that most people have seen the movie, and it is exactly the same story. The book is about Michael Oher a famous football player, whose life started off not where you thought it would be. So far Michael is a kid who lives in a bad part of town. He sleeps on a friends couch, makes really bad grades, and doesent have a home. His friend's dad gets him into a nice school, where he still is not doing well. But worst so far, he is not allowed to sleep on the couch anymore, and is kicked to the streets.

E book

I'm excited to make this E book thing. First off, I would like to have somebody go over my paper again, just to make shore that there are no mistakes. I think it would be cool if we used real pictures or things from the event that we wrote about in our book. I also think it would be cool to have a really cool, painted, or abstract picture in the front. Also maybe the pictures could be in black and white, or some old fashioned looking way. I don't know,  but I think it would be cool to have it look some what old fashioned.  Like the founts could be cursive, or calligraphy, or a cool print for the title and stuff.

This weak I didn't do as much reading as I wanted to, because I've ben writing my paper. However, I did finally finish the book, looking for Alaska. All I can say was that it was amazing, and so heart felt. Throughout the rest of the book, it kept you on the edge of your seat. I'm not going to explain anything that happened though, you have to read it to find out. Also I read some really good literacy narratives this weak. In Allison's narrative, I loved the imagery that she put in it. I felt like I was there with her in the lower school building.  I also liked the big words that Eli used in his. I red some great essays.

conversation

.............. Standing on the grey edge of a 50 story building, Jake started having second thoughts about jumping. The salty sweet rolled down his fave like rain drops, and his heart pounded like a drum.
"Man are you shure this is going to work, because I, I don't like falling to my death." Said Jake to Liam in a shivering voice.
"Well duh its going to work, stop being a cry baby. I specifically designed the boots to be able to carry a man your size without failure."
"What if there is a failure? WHat if it doesent start automatically? what if..."
"If theres not gonna be one. Besides if it doesent start automatically, it should start before you hit the 25th story." Liam's eyes were filled with excitement and hope that his rocket boots would work. His words were soothing and confident that his life's work would not come to a gruesome end. For months now Liam had ben telling Jake that he had finally found a way to create the first human super hero. Like Iron man he created boots that would give the rider stability, and control in the air and a safe landing.
"If you don't go I'll push you off."
"Id rather that maybe, bust then again... fine."
Taking three steps forward, jake looked down at the hard concert below.
"Well this is it."
"Think of it this way pal, if it works you the first human rocket."
"Yep the first human rocket. I can do this." Taking a deep breath in and clenching his eyes close jake jumped. Wind rushed passed as he fell, down and down. Then he felt a jolt, and the rush came to an end. Thinking I'm dead I'm dead. Then slowly opening his eyes he saw a seen of thousands of buildings in the sunset, and small ant like people down below.
"It worked it actually worked."
"I told you so."

This weak I have started the book Looking for Alaska. The main character Miles is going to a boarding school known as Clover Creek in Alabama. So far on the first day he has met his room mate, a great smart minded kid named the Colonel, and the beautiful Alaska, a girl who has taken his heart. Miles is the just there type of person in school. Not many people know him, he is not the popular guy. He is does not smoke, drink, or do bad things, however it seams now that mite all change.
My question is he going to fall under the influence of other people. My answer is he may. When left alone on the swings a day before school started he already started smoking. Whether he is addicted or not it is unknown. His statements were that he was on a swing by himself. he had cigarettes, and three that he thought that if everyone else could do it so could he. But he mostly went with the reason that bugs were out side and the smoke would drive them away. The question still holds though will he do more stuff, especially sense he hangs out with Alaska, who is known not to be the goody two shoes type of girl.

reading log part 2

I continued reading and finished my book Siege and Storm. Alina finally got her army, ready to go and defeated the darkling, bat sadly it took her a major sacrifice. She constantly kept seeing and feeling visions of the darkling following her throughout the little plaice. She was afraid to tell anyone, when people asked she would shun them away. Sadly this came to the downfall of her relation ship with Mal. She became very depressed, and you knew that Mal did not want to leave. But I wont know till the next book.

This is Water

I found the video this is water interesting, humorous, and boring. I had very mixed emotions. This is water is about the adult world, and how every day you do the same thing every day. Its about how adults deal with themselves, mostly resulting in them thinking that there the center of the world. The speaker went on about how this stuff happens everyday and that people cant help to feel the way they do. However on days that he can he gave tips that teach you to put yourself in a better position. Such as finally realizing that the world doesn't revolve around you. Then giving yourself reasons as to why things are happening in a cretan way. Then going with the flow.
I found it to give me allot of insight to the grownup world. At first I thought that the video was going to be on gold fish or water, but it wasn't. I liked how it opened up, with fish doing there every day normal things, and how that was suppose to represent grownups going through there daly lives. I knew life was stress full, but I didn't totally know how stressful. Im glad i watched this, because i got some very helpful tips that will help me in the future.

Question: Will Alina go back to her country?
Eventually Alina goes back to her country, but she is captured by the Darkling, and then stolen by Pirates. The captain however just so happens to be the run away Prince of the kingdom, who is going to take the thrown. She did not go back to her country the way she planed.

Shattered windows

Imagine the excitement, and wander of a girls, cabin at Heardtner when your told after a fun game to go and wait in your cabin. The thoughts running through our minds were, is it a dance, are they getting a show ready, but usually its not this early in the day for one. As we all entered the cabin, there was a blood stained note on the wall that said, "Beware all of you, Camp Heardtner has just ben infected with an unknown virus. This virus has some how transformed your fellow councilors and campers into zombies. If you are picked up by on, your hole cabin group must go and get the person blessed by the priest to get cured. You must go collect supplies and medicine throughout the camp, and then the vaccine." After reading the note, we all excitedly got ready for one of our favorite games World War Z. After a couple minuets, a councilor named Alec, started banging on our windows and doors. He was dressed up in a tattered, blood stained, white robe. His face was painted a pail white. He had deep dar spots under his eyes, and all around his mouth was blood. He burst through our cabin, throwing girls on the beds, and chasing us out side. We hid behind the cabin, because it was just a fun game. Then he went to go do the same thing to the cabin rite next to ours. As he ran up to bang on the windows, his hand punched strait through the glass window. You herd a sharp crack, and shatter, with screams of terrified girls in the distance, and then a laughing noise coming from Alec. He barley had any glass in him, but he sure terrified us all. That was totally un expected. Lets just say that thought the rest of the weak that was his high point. He shore did play the part of a zombie.

The Red Eyes - How it started

In 2345, that was about sixty years before I was born, the world was a quite laid back place. After the hundred year war of 2244, the great 60 nations decided to rebuild the human civilization from the bottom up. They got together a large group of great scientists, architects, mechanics and designers. All were masters, some of the best in there work and profession. For a while the plans on rebuilding failed, more people starved, to many resources were destroyed or used up, and people got tired of waiting for things to change. Many believed nothing good would come in time, so they took away there life's. Others believed that there was a better way of rebuilding, other than getting geniuses together. You see the reason why nothing was being built was because no one could decide wether to make things the way before, or old school. Men argued that making things the way before would cause yet again another war. Others argued that we kneaded technology to get use by, not beautiful artwork. Others said that people once again needed to appreciate the arts. Many ideas and plans were trashed. Then came along Dr. Robert A. Steven's. He was a well respected, rich man, scientist, and he had great knowledge of the ancient human civilizations. He had this way about him that was very persuasive. Maybe it was the soft tone of his voce, his dark blue eyes, or the way that he just looked at you that made him seem very powerful.  He always said something that you wanted to hear, something that you could easily agree with. He had an idea of a utopia, cities built and cut out of beautifully carved, wood and rock. Museums, art everywhere, but complex technology was spread out throughout the hole entire city. He built images in your mind of great roman temples, intricately painted mosques, great towers built out of stone. Just the most beautiful architecture ever seen by man. There were no servants, everyone lived a very stable beautiful life, no one was poor, because he had this idea that we would create robots that could think, act, talk and do everything like us, but were programed only to serve. The idea was brilliant, everyone agreed.
As soon as blue prints were drawn all over the world, reconstruction started in a blink of an eye. It took 20 years for everything to come to plan. By the time it was finished, the world was a utopia. A once barren, starving, pore, broken, world was flourishing with food, happiness, and joy. New ideas were once again being thought, parties were constantly held, there was rarely any sadness, disease, or hurt. The new technology allowed people to be healed within seconds, and live longer than ever before. With the use of a personal slave always at your command, people could do almost anything they wanted. The robots were but so intricately. Designed exactly like a human being, it even had a working brain like any other, the only thing stoping it was a small micro chip set in the center of its brain. Life went on smoothly for years. Then in on January 25, 2344 a man known as Joseph T. Harriet was killed by the hands of his bot. Once put out, scientists discovered that the bot had completely stopped its programing, and had a mind of its own. At first it was over looked, but the killings gradually started climbing. The government's of the world could not have this happen any more. All bots, were ordered to be disconnected. Some of them were frozen and put under military lock and key for examination. Once the bots were taken away, the life style and health of the world began to go down. Many people had relied on them for a long time that some forgot how to do very basic things. Such as washing the dishes, cloths, cooking. After a while people began to rebuild and go back to a perfect life, but this time with work. People were solders, cooks, house keepers, ect again. They felt safe again, but that was a big mistake, for the bots that they kept were just getting started. This is where my story starts.

Reading Response To Shadow and Bone

Shadow and Bone was a really, really good, action, romance, suspenseful book.  I't became one of my favorite books. For any of you who don't know what this book is about, I will explain. Shadow and Bone is a book about this girl in Russia named Alina. In her world there are powerful people who are able to make and use forms of magic, that protect or harm others. For thousands of years now there has thin this place called the Unsea that is filled with flesh eating demond creatures. After her armies ship is deployed into the Unsea, she finds out that she has this inner power to cast light wherever she wants it. This drove away the creatures, and she was sent to a castle/ school to learn how to use them. However she does not know the real intentions, on why they are doing it.
One thing I noticed throughout the book is that she was really stuck in-between witch guy she really loved, her best friend Mal, or the darkling. She constant switched depinding on the aria she was in. As I was reading, I started to notice that I was learning some Russian words, because there were many scattered thought the book. I loved how the author, Leigh Bardugo, took so many features of Russia and used them to create this mystical, ancient, fantasy world. I was so mad though that she left me on a cliff hanger. I truly loved the book.
